Why would I smash my boot through the thin ice I'm standing on?
[Like, he gets it, kind of. He's an unrepentant killer, it only makes sense that they'd want him under observation. But it's exceedingly obvious to him that going after anyone else here would do nothing but get him killed a few days ahead of schedule, and enrage everyone further. It's not a matter of the goodness of his heart, it's just survival logic.
He makes a face at that, though.]
It probably is only a matter of time, then.
